On a scale of squishy, soft, medium, firm and extra firm, I would rate these somewhere between soft and medium. I like my pillows to be very firm, which is why I ordered these. The title, after all, described them as "extra firm." They aren't even regular firm, let alone extra firm. If you are looking for an extra-firm pillow, this is NOT the one you want to buy!

I bought the set about 2 months ago, and they do not flatten like cheap department store pillows. They are extra firm, so make sure thats what you are looking for if you purchase these pillows.

However, after only three months, they have about half of the loft that they originally had - even after repeatedly trying to fluff them up. We've had far cheaper pillows that lasted longer than these flat tires. Plus, they were never terribly firm. Bad product.
