Soft enough to watch tv on and firm enough to sleep on. Arrived on time and in a surprisingly small box. The mattress was compressed for shipping but gained full shape in a few hours.

My husband and I purchased this mattress a little over a year ago. We were a bit leery about using a futon as an every day mattress. but we were tired of paying so much money for a regular mattress only to have it give out on us after five years. I did my research and reviews were quite positive, so we thought we would take the risk. We are so glad we did. Of course it has only been a year, but the mattress is still in excellent condition, no lumps or bumps and I haven't had a bad back since we purchased it. We really cannot believe the quality of the mattress for the money we paid. I highly recommend it.

I use it on a tri-fold lounger style queen size futon and it's very comfortable to sit back from the TV/PC with wireless keyboard and mouse and do work. I also use it everyday for sleep.
I also purchased a set of Otis Grip Strips to use on my frame as I'm sure this bed would like to slide off the frame if I tried readjusting the recliner position.
