3 min to assemble, sturdy, quality bed, February 12, 2011 By Olga (CA, USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Legare Princess Twin Bed (Kitchen) We didnt even look at the instructions. It was that simple. Headboard, foot board - both pink/peach (more peachy), then 2 side wooden connector in white and the base. No tool needed, just connect the 4 and it's done. It is a bit heavy, well constructed.
CONS: The bed finish smells like paint and it has been 10 days and it still has a light smell. So my advice put it outside but safe from the rain for at least couple days before assembling and putting it in your kids room.
Second, we put the bed against the wall and there is a gap between the wall and bed. The first night our toddler fell into it but she just called me and I helped her out. After that we put several pillows in the gap and it has been working fine.
Third, I would suggest you use around 6 inch mattress with this bed. We bought a 10 inch one and it is a bit above foot board which is fine but not perfect.

Simple, sturdy, cute, inexpensive, October 7, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Legare Princess Twin Bed (Kitchen) The bed arrived in just a couple of days, was well-packed (in two big boxes, one long, one flat and wide), and was very simple to assemble. We might replace the slats with a plywood sheet later just for more support (my husband and I are on the heavy side) but it's really fine as-is. The color is much closer to the peach-ish tone of some of the photos than the cool pink/white combo of the photo of the bed alone. So, if you're worried about color, keep that in mind. We're very happy with the bed and my daughter loves it. It will be very easy to disassemble when she "outgrows" it.

Also a little to much space between the wall and the bed due to the crown.
The third thing is that it takes the space of a full size bed. Take it in mind.
I didn't think the crown sticks out so much on each side.
If I had someone write this here before I purchased the bed I would not end up buying it.
